Performance factors - The technician is able
to:

Understand and conduct all inspection and
testing in conformance with the applicable code requirements. |

Clean all components of the kitchen exhaust
systems in accordance with NFPA standards and applicable local
bylaws. |
|
3
|
Operate and use a variety of tools and equipment
such as, but not limited to, power washers, ladders, volumeter,
and electrical equipment. |

|
Test the pH of effluent created during the
cleaning process, to comply with environment waste water policies
and local bylaws. |
|

|
Conduct tests to determine if the airflow
is consistent with the design standard. |
|
6
|
Transport and handle dangerous chemicals such
as caustic soda and effluent in the appropriate manner. |
|
7
|
Select a portable fire extinguisher for the
appropriate hazard and know how to use it effectively. |
|

|
Prepare clear and accurate inspection and
test reports and maintain for the authority having jurisdiction. |
|
9
|
Communicate with the owner or authorized agent
and make recommendations for deficiencies that need to be
rectified. |
|
10
|
Communicate clearly with the authority having
jurisdiction and advise him of any problems or unsafe conditions
in the building. |
