Performance factors - The technician is able
to:

Understand and conduct all inspection and
testing in conformance with the applicable code requirements.
|
|
2
|
Conduct and inspection of the main components
such as, but not limited to, AC power "on" light,
battery leads and terminals, battery water level and test
"float" voltage before simulating a power failure.
|
|
3
|
Conduct and inspection of the field components
such as, but not limited to, remote heads and conductors for
any physical damage or misplacement. |
|
4
|
Conduct a test of the unit to ensure it will
provide emergency lighting for a duration equal to the design
criterion under simulated power failure conditions. |
|

|
Conduct a test to ensure the charging conditions
for voltage and current and the recovery period is functioning.
|
|
6
|
Prepare clear and accurate inspection and
test reports and maintain records for the authority having
jurisdiction. |
|
7
|
Communicate with the owner or authorized agent
and make recommendations for deficiencies that need to be
rectified. |
|
8
|
Communicate clearly with the authority having
jurisdiction and advise him of any problems or unsafe condition
in the building. |
